When Taylor Sims and his Spring Creek bandmates -- bass player and singer Jessica Smith, banjo player Chris Elliott and fiddle player Alex Johnstone -- moved from Texas to Lyons in 2006, it was to take advantage of the city's rich bluegrass heritage. Every year the nation's most renowned bluegrass artists descend on Lyons to play at RockyGrass, and the city has been home to bluegrass bands like Uncle Earl, Hit and Run and Open Road. Full story »
